SANDAKAN, Aug 18 — Malaysia has pledged to halt new oil palm plantations in forest areas to support sustainability and maintain the current forest cover of 54 per cent.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — The adoption of mechanisation in Malaysia’s oil palm plantations is still relatively low at less than 50 per cent for overall field activities, and less than 15 per cent for harvesting, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — The Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities will launch a pilot project under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (Pick) which will focus on the oil palm plantation sector, to begin with, said Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali.
